Howard Commons Pavilion
Western Archrib supplied the glulam beams that define the Howard Commons Pavilion, enabling its expansive open-air rink and helping create a year-round civic hub for the Village of Howard.
Howard Commons Pavilion is a showcase of Western Archrib’s glulam manufacturing expertise, playing a central role in the creation of a vibrant, multi-use community destination in the Village of Howard near Green Bay.
The three-acre site includes a 6,750-square-foot activity center, a 16,372-square-foot pavilion, and a 2,600-square-foot open-air amphitheater, along with a children’s splash pond, beer garden, and a multi-season skating rink for roller and ice skating. Western Archrib supplied the Douglas fir glulam beams used throughout the project, including the expansive open-air rink, where long spans and exposed timber were essential to achieving both the structural demands and architectural vision.
The glulam elements give the space warmth, durability, and visual impact, supporting an environment that brings people together year-round for events, festivals, and recreation. With this project, Western Archrib helped shape a true community hub grounded in both performance and design.
