Accounts Receivable/Payroll Administrator

Overview:
We are currently looking to fill an Accounts Receivable/Payroll position at our Edmonton facility. This position is a temporary one for a maternity leave, with a possibility of becoming a permanent position. The candidate for this position must have payroll experience and accounts receivable experience.

Accounts Receivable Responsibilities
- Generate, issue, and distribute invoices accurately and on schedule for Canadian and U.S. clients.
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging; initiate timely follow-ups on overdue accounts.
- Investigate and resolve customer inquiries, billing discrepancies, and payment issues.
- Prepare and submit statutory declarations as required by clients or project stakeholders.
- Reconcile customer accounts and apply incoming payments appropriately.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure contract terms are reflected in billing schedules.
- Maintain proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
Payroll Responsibilities
- Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll for all employees in compliance with company policies and government regulations.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records including hours, deductions, benefits, and tax details.
- Coordinate with HR regarding new hires, terminations, leaves of absence, and benefits administration.
- Generate and submit payroll-related reports to internal departments and relevant agencies.
- Ensure adherence to all federal and provincial payroll legislation.

Work Schedules:
- Standard work schedule will be Mon-Fri 8am - 4pm.
Wage:
- Wage ranges from $50,000-$60,000 per annum depending on experience.

Requirements:
- Must have post secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll and/or accounts receivable roles.
- Strong understanding of payroll laws and accounting principles.
- Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) certification is an asset.
- Experience with Sage 300, MS365 Tools, and related software is an asset.
- Should have strong operational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
