Sales Executive
About the position
Western Archrib is looking for a dynamic individual for the position of Sales Executive. This new position will be based in the greater Toronto area and will report directly to the Sales Manager in Edmonton, Alberta. Working in the eastern North American market, the successful candidate will meet with new prospects and existing clients to increase overall revenue for the company. Your key focus will be to create awareness of and sell our glue laminated products to general contractors. You will also be responsible for:
- Leading the sales process from initial customer engagement through to close.
- Reviewing bid invitations from General Contractors and provide quotations to contractors for projects.
- Negotiate quoted projects.
- Assist in estimating on larger custom projects.
- Being a self-starter and continuously working to acquire additional business with new general contractors and existing contractors in Western Archrib’s customer base.
- Business development (“hunting”) that requires significant prospecting and networking.
- Responding to all sales opportunities in a prompt and professional manner while following our defined sales process.
- Logging all prospect/customer information in our CRM for reporting and marketing purposes.
- Actively participate in weekly sales and marketing meetings.

Preferred requirements:
- Ability to read and understand architectural and structural drawings.
- Basic knowledge of the construction industry.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Technical school or university education in engineering, architecture, or related experience.
- General Contracting estimating experience would be an asset.
- Proficient using Microsoft excel, Word, Power Point, Zoom or MS Teams.
- Excellent communications skills; both written and oral.
