Estimator/Quantity Surveyor
The Mass Timber Industry is expanding rapidly, and we are growing along with it. Western Archrib is looking to add an Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to our team. You’re passionate about wood,sustainability, and committed to personal service. You’re knowledgeable about various building materials and the construction industry. You understand that Sales and Estimating are not the same, but that they are tightly intertwined. The right person for this role will be able to generate an accurate list of material from a set of construction documents to effectively support the Sales team.

Preferred requirements:
Responsibilities:
- Review bid invitations from general contractors.
- Estimate material quantities for projects.
- Follow-up and track quoted project work.
- Update and maintain the project database.
- Prepare proposals and budget estimates.
Qualifications:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand architectural and structural drawings.
- Strong computer skills, including file download and transfer.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office and Teams.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Education in engineering, architecture, construction, or related experience will be an asset.
