Responding to its natural surroundings overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Kelset Elementary School was designed to LEED® Silver Standards. Locally sourced, environmentally sensitive materials were used to accent the rugged beauty of the Canadian Gulf Islandss. The design features native landscaping and rising Glulam roof beams which curve skyward to enhance daylight and natural ventilation.
