INTERMEDIATE STRUCTURAL DETAILER

Location: Edmonton, Alberta

We are looking for an enthusiastic Intermediate Structural Detailer who will enjoy the creative challenges offered by this position. You must take pride in your work and enjoy working with a team of talented specialists to find solutions for our customers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Create detailed drawings, suitable for fabrication use, of our glulam products including related steel connections from designs provided by our engineers.
  • Create placement, erection and assembly drawings suitable for job site use by our clients.
  • Create production & shipping documents
  • Assist project engineers, shop & site personnel with problem resolution and other inquires.

Qualifications include:

  • Proficient knowledge and skill in the use of Autocad 2002/2006
  • Diploma from a recognized technical college in Architectural or Civil Technology
  • 3-5 years experience producing architectural, structural, civil or steel fabrication drawings
  • Suitable communication skills in the English Language

DESIGN ENGINEER

Location: Edmonton, Alberta

We are looking for an enthusiastic Design Engineer who will enjoy the creative challenges offered by this position. You must take pride in your work and enjoy working with a team of talented specialists to find solutions for our customers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Design of glulam for use in commercial, institutional, and industrial projects.
  • Design of fabricated steel connections for structural wood systems.
  • Working with our technical sales team and engineering firms to develop solutions to engineering challenges.
  • Supervision of quality control organization.

Qualifications include:

  • A minimum of 3 years Civil/Structural design experience with a background in wood design.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer or eligible for registration with APEGGA
